Century Consultants A Successful
Voluntary Vendor for PIMS and PAsecure ID
Lakewood, NJ - March 20, 2008
- Century Consultants’ Star_Base School Suite® has successfully completed the compliance
testing for the Pennsylvania Information Management System
(PIMS)
PIMS, Pennsylvania Information Management System, is
a new initiative from the Pennsylvania Department of Education
aimed at unifying the manner in which school districts
submit reports. This streamlined function will provide
administrators with longitudinal data, enabling them to
make data driven decisions for their districts
Century Consultants has successfully completed the two
phase testing process required on the PIMS system and
is one of only a few compliant vendors for the State of
Pennsylvania.
In the first phase of PIMS, PAsecureID, the state-wide
student ID program, unique ID’s were assigned to all 1.8
million PreK-12 public school students in Pennsylvania.
In order to accommodate this project, Star_Base School Suite® was customized, ensuring accurate state
reports, without duplicate information, expediting funding
to the districts. Additionally, the state-required ability
to track students from district to district for further
analysis was also met.
During Phase Two, Century created template files to be
tested in the Pennsylvania Department of Education environment
to confirm the vendor’s ability to generate four template
files; Student, Student Snapshot, Programs Fact and School
Enrollment as will be required of each district to do.
By successfully completing this project Century continues
to maintain its role as an industry leader.
