Department of Education Preferred Vendor

The Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) and the Virginia Department of Education have awarded a two-year approved vendor contract to Century Consultants’ Star_Base School Suite™ to provide Student Information System Software and Services statewide to public school divisions within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Effective July 1, 2008, Virginia school districts can bypass the formal request for proposal process, and confidently purchase Star_Base School Suite™ with the knowledge that the software has been thoroughly evaluated and approved by the Virginia DOE.

Star_Base School Suite™ meets all Virginia state reporting requirements and is currently in use in 16 Virginia school districts, servicing more than 400 schools and and over 279,000 students. The scalable Star_Base™ software efficiently satisfies districts of all sizes and has been implemented in Virginia since 1985.
